Graduate Student, Sociology
About
I am a high achieving student in the discipline of Sociology and have recently been employed as a teaching assistant in the University of Auckland's Sociology department.
Other academic projects I've been involved with include summer research assistant, co-authorship of a chapter in an edited book collection and I'll soon be heading to Tokyo to the annual Universitas 21 undergraduate research conference as a selected representative of the University of Auckland.
My goals at the moment are to pursue further postgraduate study overseas once I've completed Honours year and to take every opportunity I can to enhance my own academic credentials.
My interests are primarily urban, literary, media and critical theory, videogame textual analysis and science/technology studies. I am currently aiming at constructing an MA proposal that I hope will integrate many of these topics.
